     Robert Bruce was born in July 1243 of Annandale, Dumfrieshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Robert Bruce and Isabel De Clare.1,2 Robert Bruce married Countess Margaret (of Carrick), daughter of Earl Neil (of Carrick) and Margaret Stewart, in 1271 at Turnberry Castle, Ayrshire, Scotland.2,1 Robert Bruce died before 4 April 1304 in Palestine.2 He was buried at Holme Abbey, Holme Cultram, Cumberland, England.2
      Robert Bruce was also known as Robert De Brus.2
