King Josiah, son of King Amon and Jedidah (2 Kings 22), was born 648 BC.
King Jehoiachin, son of King Josiah and Nehusta (2 Kings 24), was born 616 BC. When Joseph (Gospel) discovered that Mary (Gospel) was with child through the Holy Spirit (Bible), he first had mind to divorce her quietly, but an Angel of the LORD (Bible) came to him and reasured him, so he took Mary (Gospel) to be his wife, but did not have union with her until after she gave birth.9
Jesus (NT), son of Joseph (Gospel) and Mary (Gospel), was born c 6 BC in Bethleham, Judea; One theory, based on astrologically significant events places it at about April 17, 6 BC.10,11 Joseph (Gospel), son of Jacob (Mt 1), married Mary (Gospel), daughter of Heli (Luke 3).
After Jesus (NT) was born in Bethlehem, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem looking for him. King Herod I "the Great" (Mt 2) heard about them and asked the Teachers of the Law where the Christ was to be born, to which they replied Bethlehem in Judea.
King Herod I "the Great" (Mt 2) called the Magi and found out when the star had appeared, and sent them to Bethlehem, asking them to report to him so he could come and worship him.
The Magi followed the star and found Jesus (NT) with Mary (Gospel), and they bowed down and worshiped him, and presented him with gifts of gold, incense and myrrh. Having been warned in a dream not to go back to King Herod I "the Great" (Mt 2), they returned home by another route.12
After the Magi left, an Angel of the LORD (Bible) sppeared to Joseph (Gospel) in a dream and told him to take Jesus (NT) and Mary (Gospel) to escape to Egypt because King Herod I "the Great" (Mt 2) was going to try and kill Jesus (NT).13 King Herod I "the Great" (Mt 2), when he realizes that the Magi had outwitted him, orders that all boys in Bethleham and vicinity, two years and under are to be killed in an attempt to kill Jesus (NT).14
King Herod I "the Great" (Mt 2) died Mar/Apr 4 BC.15
After King Herod I "the Great" (Mt 2) died, an Angel of the LORD (Bible) appeared to Joseph (Gospel) in a dream, telling him it was safe to come back. So Joseph (Gospel), Mary (Gospel), and Jesus (NT) came back to Israel. On finding that King Archelaus was on the throne, Joseph (Gospel) was afraid, and withdrew to the district of Galilee, and the town of Nazarith<>.16
Teaching: Jesus spent much of his time teaching the people. We have rec orded two sample longer sermons (The longer 'Sermon on the Mount' 17, and the somewhat shorted 'Sermon on the Plain' 18). I do not think these examples are to portray unique events (or exact transcripts of the events they record), but are examples of what he did throughout is time, and included the major lessons he gave that did not fit elsewhere in the gospel narratives. Jesus (NT) went throughout at an unknown place teaching in the synagogue, proclaiming the good news, and healing the sick.19
