     Margrave Ekbert I (of Meissen), son of Count Ludolf von Branschweig and Gertrude von Egisheim, was born circa 1031 of Brunswick, Germany.1 Margrave Ekbert I (of Meissen) was the son of Count Ludolf von Branschweig and Gertrude von Egisheim.1,2 Margrave Ekbert I (of Meissen) is also recorded born circa 1036.2 He married Ermengarge (?), daughter of Odelerico Manfredo II (?) and Bertha (of Este).2 Margrave Ekbert I (of Meissen) died on 11 January 1068.1,2
     Ekbert I's father Count Ludolf von Branschweig died on 23 April 1038.2,1
