     Capt Samuel Alden, son of David Alden and Mary Southworth, was born circa 1689 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1 Capt Samuel Alden was the son of David Alden and Mary Southworth.3 Capt Samuel Alden married Sarah Sprague, daughter of Samuel Sprague and Bethiah Thomas, on 26 February 1727/28.4 Capt Samuel Alden died on 24 February 1781 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.4
     Samuel's mother Mary Southworth died on 13 March 1717/18.2 Samuel's daughter was married at wedding of Sarah Alden and Gamaliel Bradford on 10 March 1757.5 Capt Samuel Alden became a widower with the death of his wife, Sarah Sprague on 28 March 1773 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.4
