Princess Anna (of Cleves) was born on 22 September 1515 in Dhusseldorf, Rheinland, Germany.1 She was the daughter of Duke Johann III (of Kleve Julich) and Princess Marie (of Julich).2,1 Princess Anna (of Cleves) married King Henry VIII Tudor, son of King Henry VII Tudor and Queen Elizabeth (of England), on 6 January 1539/40 at Greenwich Palace, Greenwich, Kent, England.1,2 Princess Anna (of Cleves) and King Henry VIII Tudor were divorced in 1540.2 Princess Anna (of Cleves) died on 16 July 1557 in Chelsea, Middlesex, England, at age 41.1,2 She was buried on 4 August 1557 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England.1
