Jacob Burdg was born on 28 January 1783 in Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, New Jersey.1 He was the son of Jacob Burdg and Judith Smith.1 Jacob Burdg married Miriam Matthews, daughter of William Matthews and Ann Griffith, on 9 December 1807 in Redstone, Pennsylvania.1 Jacob Burdg died on 1 December 1862 near Butlerville, Indiana, at age 79.1
He became the father of Oliver Burdg on 28 September 1821.1 Jacob's mother Judith Smith died on 5 March 1836 in Springfield, Columbiana County, Ohio.1 Jacob's son was married at wedding of Oliver Burdg and Jane M. Hemingway on 29 April 1846.1
