Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach)

Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) was born on 15 May 1594 of Laubach, Oberhessen, Hesse-Darmstadt.¹ She was the daughter of Count Johann Georg I (of Solms-Laubach) and Margarethe von Schonburg.¹ Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) married Margrave Joachim Ernst (of Brandenburg-Ansbach), son of Elector Johann Georg (of Brandenburg) and Princess Elisabeth (of Anhalt), on 14 October 1612 in Mittelfranken, Bavaria.¹ Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) died on 16 May 1651 in Plhotzkau, Anhalt, Germany, at age 57.¹
Sofie's father Count Johann Georg I (of Solms-Laubach) died on 29 August 1600 in Laubach, Oberhessen, Hesse Darmstadt.¹ Sofie's mother Margarethe von Schonburg died on 29 June 1606 in Oberpfalz, Bavaria.¹ Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) became the mother of Princess Sofie (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) on 10 June 1614.¹ Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) became the mother of Margrave Friedrich (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) on 1 May 1616.¹ Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) became the mother of Count Albrecht (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) on 14 May 1617.¹ Sofie's son Count Albrecht (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) died on 30 October 1617.¹ Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) became the mother of Margrave Albrecht (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) on 28 September 1620.¹ Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) became the mother of Count Christian (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) on 1 April 1623.¹ Countess Sofie (of Solms-Laubach) became a widow with the death of her husband, Margrave Joachim Ernst (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) on 7 March 1625 in Mittelfranken, Bavaria, at age 41.¹ Sofie's son Count Christian (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) died on 10 March 1633.¹ Sofie's son Margrave Friedrich (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) died on 6 September 1634.¹ Sofie's daughter Princess Sofie (of Brandenburg-Ansbach) died on 3 December 1646 in Bayreuth, Oberfranken, Bavaria.¹
