     King Fredrik I (of Sweden) was born on 28 April 1676 in Kassel, Chr Kassel, Hesse-Nassau, Prussia, to, son of Landgrave Karl (of Hesse-Kassel) and Princess Marie Amalie (of Kurland).1 King Fredrik I (of Sweden) was the son of Landgrave Karl (of Hesse-Kassel) and Princess Marie Amalie (of Kurland).1 King Fredrik I (of Sweden) was christened on 14 May 1676 in Kassel, Hesse-Nassau, Prussia.1 He died on 25 March 1751 in Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden, at age 74.1 He was buried on 27 September 1751 in Riddarholm Kyrkan, Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden.1
     He became King of Sweden. Fredrik I's mother Princess Marie Amalie (of Kurland) died on 16 June 1711 in Weilmunster, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 Fredrik I's father Landgrave Karl (of Hesse-Kassel) died on 23 March 1730 in Kassel, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1
