Emperor Ferdinand II (of the Holy Roman Empire) was born on 9 July 1578 in Graz, Steiermark, Austria.1 He was the son of Archduke Karl (of Austria) and Princess Marie Anna (of Bavaria).1 Emperor Ferdinand II (of the Holy Roman Empire) married Princess Marie Anna (of Bavaria), daughter of Duke Wilhelm V (of Bavaria) and Princess Renate (Renee) (of Lorraine), on 23 April 1600 in Graz, Steiermark, Austria.1 Emperor Ferdinand II (of the Holy Roman Empire) died on 15 February 1637 in Wien, Wien, Austria, at age 58.1 He was buried in Mausoleum Graz, Steiermark, Austria.1
