Archduchess Maria Theresa (of Austria-Este) was the daughter of Archduke Ferdinand Charles (of Austria) and Princess Maria Beatrice Este (of Modena).1 Archduchess Maria Theresa (of Austria-Este) and King Vittorio Emanuele I (of Sardinia) were married by proxy on 23 April 1789 in the Cathedral of Milan, Italy.1 Archduchess Maria Theresa (of Austria-Este) and King Vittorio Emanuele I (of Sardinia) renewed their vows on 25 April 1789 at Cathedral of Novarra, Italy.1
