Marie De Coucy was born about 1218/19 of Boves, Somme, France.1 She was the daughter of Baron Enguerrand III De Coucy and Marie De Montmirail.2,1 Marie De Coucy married King Alexander II (of Scotland), son of King William I The Lion (of Scotland) and Ermengarde De Beaumont, on 15 May 1239 in Boves, Picardy, Kent, England.1,2 Marie De Coucy was buried in Newbottle, County Durham, England.1
She became the mother of King Alexander III (of Scotland) on 4 September 1241.1
